You're out on the water. You're relaxed and right now there is no place you'd rather be. However your relaxation is not unconditional. It is dependent on maintaining control. Being able to make the right decisions at the right time and knowing you have the best data at your disposal. Data that is accurate, accessible, and visible.
Tacktick products deliver on all these requirements and are the only marine electronic instruments that use wireless and solar power technology. Transmitters send data to the Tacktick displays via wireless communication. This is called the Micronet System.
To win, you have to perform to the best of your ability. You need to make the right decisions at the right time. To make those decisions you need instruments that deliver data that is highly accurate, accessible, and visible.
Tacktick has had a long association with racing, providing electronics which have improved the performance of boats in some of the world's most prestigious races; including the Rolex Middle Sea, Key West, Sydney Hobart and Fastnet races. Only Tacktick produces marine electronic instruments that use wireless and solar power technology. Transmitters send data to the Tacktick displays via wireless communication.
Tacktick products give you the edge in a competitive environment, they are waterproof, and provide vital weight savings and total reliability. They also have major advantages in terms of power usage and position flexibility, making them the perfect racing solution.

Tacktick display units are cable free and receive data by wireless link. This means they are easier to install than conventional instruments because you don't need to drill holes through your deck and bulkhead, or feed cable down your mast or under the headlining. In fact the entire installation could be done with your boat in the water with the rig in place.
Easy installation also means easy removal. When you leave your boat, you can unclip your displays and store them below or take them home with you.
Additional instruments can be added at any time without the need for wiring. They simply tune into the network of the existing system making installation effortless.
Our innovative Wind Transmitter simply screws to the top of the mast meaning even boats with wooden masts can now receive accurate data on wind speed and direction.
Fitting speed and depth transducers is the only instance where installation is similar to conventional systems. However, if your boat already has Airmar Transducers, then these could work with the Micronet system.
Being wireless, Tacktick displays are unique in their flexibility. Multiple clip in cradles allow you to position them anywhere you like on your boat, such as a bulkhead, steering position, the saloon or at the chart table. You can even clip them to the anchor hatch to gauge depth while anchoring, or attach them to the mast using one of our mast brackets. With the Micronet Remote Display you can also access all your data from the palm of your hand.
All displays are supplied with slim, unobtrusive clip-in cradles and we supply sticky pads for you to test the optimum position for a display before you decide its ideal resting place.
